Winemaker's Notes
51% Touriga Nacional, 49% Tinta Cao. Yarden 2T is made from these two Portuguese varieties, grown in the Yonatan Springs and Geshur Vineyards. 18 months of barrel aging adds richness to the wine's wild berry, cassis, plum, and violet notes. The Golan Heights Winery was started in 1983 by 4 kibbutzim and 4 moshavim in the Golan. They have led the drive in Israel to produce great wines. The 28 vineyards are in various parts of the Golan up to 1200 meters, and Victor Schoenfeld is the chief winemaker. They have won numerous Gold medals around the world.
