The Chosen Barrel Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 is a nice medium purple color, but a bit lighter, almost looks a little orange, at the rim. This is a wine that can be opened today or aged for three to five years. The Chosen Cabernet Sauvignon is infused with notes of caramel covered cedar chips and jammy fruits such as blackberries, red currants and raspberries. The wine has a sweet oaky flavor which touches hot on the nose. It is a good full bodied wine with a strong acid and strong alcohol taste. It finishes with a big acidic, oaky and fruity taste in the mouth. It pairs well with smoked meats, brisket and roast.
