Originally destined for a blend, this Petit Verdot’s astonishing barrel development led to its bottling as a single varietal. The Shiran Limited Edition Petit Verdot is ruby in color, aromas of raspberries, red cherries and freshly cracked nuts up front lead to subtle hints of toasting and clove followed by a light greenness which adds freshness and offers a pleasant counterbalance to the smoky undertones that follow through on the palate leading to a lingering finish. This wine offers good acidity and round, polished tannins that lend to the balance and structure of this wine. Only 300 bottles of this wine were produced.
