Winemaker's Notes
The Or Haganuz Horkenus is the flagship wine from the Or Haganuz winery. Quality and perfection were pursued at every point in producing this wine. From the meticulous vineyard site selection, to the vines, clusters, and berries that are hand selected for this wine, care was given to ensure the highest quality production. The wine then spends 40 months in French oak barrels before resting for a year in the bottle before being released. This results in an age worthy wine from a limited production of 2,200 bottles. This wine is a Bordeaux-style blend, with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 18% Merlot, and the remaining 12% coming from Petit Verdot. This wine is full bodied with high acid and rich tannins. Up front dried black fruit, ripe cherry, spices and clove, followed by hints of eucalyptus and coffee. The finish is long and is well suited for full flavored dishes such as prime rib.
