Laurent-Perrier is the largest family-owned Champagne house in the world, maintaining boutique standards of quality while producing wines that are all international favorites. Their flagship nonvintage bottling is a perfect expression of the "house style", emphasizing purity, freshness and elegance. Typically a blend of 50% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier (though these proportions change slightly), it strikes a lovely balance of brightness and complexity with aromas of citrus and stone fruit. Its flavors combine white peach and pastry with green apple and a pleasing biscuity finish. Drink this with a wide range of Asian foods, anything fried, or tuna tartare. Just don't smother its flavors with a wedding cake!
