Carmenere is a Chilean varietal that at first thought was mistaken for Merlot since it has really smooth tannins, and very nice structure. The Goblet Carmenere is made with Carmenere from Chile and exhibits those same characteristics. It also has lots of fruits on the nose including black plum, black currant and blueberries. The wine is full bodied with medium smooth tannins that are mouth coating and enjoyable. The wine has a long lingering finish that soothes the back of the palate and leaves the drinker wanting more.
