Winemaker's Notes
The Sangiovese grapes for this delightful Israeli wine are grown in the rich soils of the Galilee and then aged 12 months. The color of the wine is a light purple with a touch of bright red brick. The aroma is very rich with strong oak and vanilla, with an earthy spice. Very little fruit is detected in the nose, but a discerning nose can trace a faint smell of unripened fruit. The taste is more full bodied with much stronger fruit notes that burst on the tongue. The acidity balances the flavor and low tannins keep the wine from taking a bitter taste. The finish is long and develops nicely, with more spicy and wood notes with a building acidity.
