Winemaker's Notes
This old vine blend is crafted from grapes grown in the rich vineyards located near the Mediterranean coast in Spain. The wine is a blend of 40% Carignan made from 90 year old vines, 30% Grenache, and 30% Syrah. Its coloring is deep and purple that is bright and is clear from cloudiness. The aroma is earthy and filled with old-world smells that are clean and clear. Light fruit is sensed on the nose, going from red to black fruits with cherry, blackberry and plum that adds complexity. Its full bodied, well rounded, and balanced with present acids and tannins. The finish is long and has a chewy character that really highlights the wine. Its complex aromas and flavors will surely mature with bottle aging.
