Winemaker's Notes

Owned by Giscours but operated completely independently, this is the first kosher run of this 5th Grand Cru Classe Margaux. It is deep yet bright garnet towards purple in color, with a captivating nose of black and blue fruits, roasted nuts, spices and wet earth. On the palate, it feels polished with great purity and silkiness without ever feeling too heavy. Medium to full-bodied, as it opens up in the glass it shows perfectly ripe black currants, wild blueberries as well as tart raspberries and juicy plums, followed by notes of graphite, loamy dirt, earthy minerals and bay leaves and even a touch of saline. Medium-plus acidity carries the wine all the way through, with firm, grainy tannins that gain in intensity from the mild-palate throughout the long elegant finish which features notes of walnuts and dark chocolate.
