Chateau de By, Medoc, 2016: The latest addition to the kosher cuvees from Jean Guyon’s (Domaines Rollan de By) estates. Established in 1839, Chateau de By has always been known for its quality Merlot-driven wines. Garnet in color. On the nose, black cherries, raspberries, tobacco leaves, as well as hints of toasted oak. Light to medium-bodied, with low to medium intensity. On the palate, tart cherries, ripe red berries, green foliage, graphite, medium acidity, with searing tannins drying the mouth and notes of tobacco on the moderate finish. Perfect to accompany light and formal meals.
