We are constantly replenishing our inventory, and sometimes we will have to make a vintage substitution. We reserve the right to substitute the vintage of any bottle under $15 without notification. If a vintage substitution is needed for a wine over $15, we will send an email notification and wait 24 hours for your response before shipping the available vintage. If you are vintage specific please leave a note in the comment section at checkout. We will never substitute with a Shmita vintage. Thank you for your understanding.
Located in Listrac-Médoc, a prestigious appellation in the Northern Médoc, Château Clarke is the flagship estate of Baron Benjamin de Rothschild, which he inherited from his father, the late Baron Edmond de Rothschild. While Château Clarke has been producing kosher cuvées since 1986, this is the first time they make a kosher run of the winery’s Grand Vin. It features a deep garnet towards royal purple color. On the nose, crushed raspberries, ripe purple plums and cassis, as well as a hint of smoke and freshly rolled cigars. Medium to full-bodied, with great purity of fruit, and a suave, almost velvety texture yet not overly extracted. The palate echoes the nose with lush red fruit, black currants, tobacco, followed by graphite, freshly turned earth, minerals, Cuban cigars, medium acidity with fine grained tannins and notes of dark chocolate on the long and elegant finish. Products are packed with coolant during their journey to ensure they arrive in great shape. Meats will arrive frozen or refrigerated. Most of our products are shipped frozen; occasionally, due to a very quick turnaround between when the meats arrive at our freezing and distribution facility and when they are delivered to you, meats may be shipped fresh. Meat that is cold to the touch can be refrigerated for immediate use, or frozen for later use.
