Cahors is an appellation in Southwestern France that is known for its Malbec. By law all wines labelled as Cahors must contain 70% Malbec, and this wine is 100%. This wine exhibits a fresh and powerful purple color, tons of blue fruit flavors, robust tannins and a nice spicy kick on the finish. This is a perfect wine to let open in the glass over the course of a meal while it develops. It is best enjoyed with grilled chicken, sausages and minute roast.
