The Adir A Red 2016 is from the Adir Kosher Winery in the Upper Galilee in Israel. The grapes are from the Kerem Ben Zimra Vineyards which started planting in the 1980s and supplies many of the great wineries throughout Israel, including Dalton, Adir's neighbor. A full bodied blend of 60% Shiraz, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, this wine is characterized by its deep purple coloring and heavy taste profile. Its strong peppery and oakey smell mixes with cloves, cumin, and black cherries to make this a bold spicey wine. Highly acidic in taste, the A Red Blend provides the big flavor profiles typical of Israeli Shiraz's. Pairs well with roasted and flavorful meat dishes.
